Well, you are not alone, since I, myself, am often end up in the same situation and likely so many others also caught up on the same situation. Luckily, there’s an easy fix for the issue – so when the next time you make/receive a phone call and you turn off your iPhone screen, the call won’t get ended.

Here’s how to set Side / Power button NOT to end call via “Prevent lock to end call“
This “Prevent lock to end call” feature is a new feature introduced on iOS 16. So if you are not on iOS 16 (or above) yet, do update yours today. Here are the steps to set your Side / Power button NOT to end the call when locking your screen while having a call.
1) On your iPhone, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch.
2) Inside Touch screen, scroll down until you find “Prevent lock to end call”.
3) Turn on “Prevent lock to end call”.
That’s it. Now give it a try yourself!
Bring it all together
With the simple change on your iPhone settings, now when you make or receive a phone call and when you turn off the screen, your call won’t get disconnected.
