iPhone RAM Size considered small?

Various iPhone with Various RAM Sizes

As you can see from the list above, on iPhone early days, Apple made them with a very small amount of RAM – in fact until today, the latest and greatest iPhone (as of 2020 is the iPhone 12 Pro Max) has only 6GB of RAM. Compare that with Android flagship, you’ll realize how small Apple iPhone RAM is!

For comparison, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus has 12GB of RAM – Image courtesy of https://www.theverge.com

However since Apple made both the hardware (read: iPhone) and the software (read: iOS), Apple can fully optimize the OS to make use of the limited RAM size as efficient as they can, which in results, more often iPhone with smaller RAM size are winning the speed test with Android devices (you don’t believe me? Google or see them at YouTube).
