All Android Go Apps Available and Worth Installing And Why You Should Install These Apps

You don’t need to have Android Go certified devices to use all these Go lightweight apps.

As part of Google I/O this year and Google commitment and campaign “Android is for everyone”, Google is bringing a performance effective OS that can run on any low-end specs devices with RAM ranging from 512MB to 1GB. Google called it Android Go OS. If you are on budget and planning yourself to buy a new budget Android phone, then this is good news for you. But what if you still want to stick with whatever Android phone or device you are using right now, are you out of luck?

Luckily no! Google has made not only the performance effective OS, but also creating and releasing its performance-effective core apps which intended to run on devices with 1GB RAM or less. Google called them Android Go apps. Which means although you are not planning to buy a new Android devices, you can, however, install these lightweight apps and have them on your existing Android devices.

Below I share Google Play Store download links for each of these Go apps, however if somehow you have unsupported devices and/or unable to download directly from Google Play, don’t worry, I got you covered! Unable to directly download from Google Play Store, that doesn’t mean your Android device is unable to use them. Google is somehow limiting them. You can always refer to 3rd party site such as APKMirror here to get the APK from there and directly install to your Android devices.

If this is your first time installing 3rd party apps outside Google Play Store, you may want to check this to enable installing apps and games from 3rd party links.

Disclaimer: I have no relation with APKMirror and I can’t guarantee you that APKMirror is free from bad things (if any). Visit and download at your own risk. Alternatively, you can get APK from any other 3rd party website that you trust.
